IMAC Review is a peer-reviewed law journal committed to advancing scholarship and professional discourse on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in accordance with international standards and academic practices. The journal serves as a scholarly platform for academics, practitioners, policymakers, and researchers to critically examine developments in mediation, arbitration, conciliation, and other ADR mechanisms at national and international levels. Through rigorous research and ethical scholarship, IMAC Review promotes comparative analysis, institutional reforms, and policy-oriented dialogue aimed at strengthening efficient, accessible, and globally aligned dispute resolution frameworks.

Author Guidelines

1. Introduction

IMAC Review publishes high-quality scholarly research in the fields of mediation, arbitration, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), international commercial law, and related legal disciplines. Authors are advised to carefully follow these guidelines before submission.

The journal operates through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.

2. Scope of Submissions

Manuscripts must align with the journal’s focus on:

  • International and domestic arbitration

  • Commercial and investment arbitration

  • Mediation and dispute resolution mechanisms

  • Comparative dispute resolution systems

  • ADR reforms and policy analysis

  • Case commentary and legislative analysis

Submissions outside the journal’s scope will be desk rejected.

3. Types of Submissions

The journal accepts:

  • Research Articles (6,000–10,000 words)

  • Case Comments (3,000–5,000 words)

  • Legislative Notes (3,000–5,000 words)

  • Book Reviews (1,000–2,000 words)

Word count includes footnotes but excludes references.

4. Originality Requirement

Authors must confirm that:

  • The manuscript is original.

  • It has not been published elsewhere.

  • It is not under consideration by another journal.

All submissions are screened for plagiarism prior to peer review.

5. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be arranged as follows:

  1. Title

  2. Abstract (150–250 words)

  3. 3–6 Keywords

  4. Main Body (with headings and subheadings)

  5. Conclusion

  6. References / Bibliography

Author names and affiliations must be submitted separately to maintain double-blind review.

6. Formatting Requirements

  • Font: Times New Roman

  • Size: 12 pt (text), 10 pt (footnotes)

  • Line spacing: 1.5

  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)

7. Citation Style

IMAC Review follows the OSCOLA (Oxford Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities) referencing style.

Authors must ensure:

  • Proper footnote formatting

  • Accurate case citations

  • Accurate statute references

  • Full bibliographic details

Submissions not complying with citation standards may be returned for correction.

8. Ethical Declarations

Authors must disclose:

  • Conflict of interest (if any)

  • Funding sources

  • Institutional approvals (if applicable)

  • AI tool usage (if used in drafting or research assistance)

AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Authors remain fully responsible for content accuracy.

9. Submission Process

All manuscripts must be submitted online via the journal’s OJS system. The submission process requires:

  1. Registration on the journal website

  2. Completion of metadata (title, abstract, keywords)

  3. Upload of manuscript file (without author identifiers)

  4. Upload of separate title page (with author details)

  5. Confirmation of ethical declarations

Incomplete submissions may be returned.

10. Review Process

All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process in accordance with the journal’s Peer Review Policy.

11. Copyright & Licensing

Authors retain copyright but grant the journal the right of first publication under the journal’s open access license.

12. Final Decision

The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision based on reviewer reports and editorial assessment.
