IMAC Review is a peer-reviewed law journal committed to advancing scholarship and professional discourse on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in accordance with international standards and academic practices. The journal serves as a scholarly platform for academics, practitioners, policymakers, and researchers to critically examine developments in mediation, arbitration, conciliation, and other ADR mechanisms at national and international levels. Through rigorous research and ethical scholarship, IMAC Review promotes comparative analysis, institutional reforms, and policy-oriented dialogue aimed at strengthening efficient, accessible, and globally aligned dispute resolution frameworks.

Charges Policy

1. General Policy

IMAC Review is committed to transparency in all financial matters related to manuscript submission, review, publication, and access. All applicable charges are clearly stated on the journal’s website. The journal does not impose any hidden or undisclosed fees at any stage of the publication process.

2. Article Processing Charges (APC)

IMAC Review operates under the following model:

  • Submission Fee: No submission fee is charged.

  • Peer Review Fee: No fee is charged for the peer review process.

  • Article Processing Charge (APC): An APC is charged only after the manuscript has successfully passed peer review and has been formally accepted for publication.

The APC covers:

  • Editorial processing

  • Double-blind peer review management

  • Copyediting and proofreading

  • Layout and typesetting

  • DOI registration (if applicable)

  • Online hosting and archiving

  • Long-term digital preservation

The current APC amount is published separately on the journal’s website and may be updated periodically.

3. Waiver and Discount Policy

IMAC Review may offer:

  • Partial or full waivers in exceptional cases

  • Discounts for authors from low-income regions

  • Institutional agreements where applicable

Waiver requests must be submitted at the time of manuscript submission and are considered independently of the peer review decision. Editorial decisions are not influenced by an author’s ability to pay.

4. Payment Terms

  • APC is payable only after formal acceptance of the manuscript.

  • Payment instructions are provided via official journal communication channels.

  • No fast-track review is offered in exchange for additional payment.

Failure to complete payment within the specified timeframe may delay publication.

5. Withdrawal Policy

If an author withdraws a manuscript:

  • Before peer review: No charges apply.

  • After peer review but before final publication: Administrative charges may apply if editorial resources have been substantially used.

Any such charges will be clearly communicated in advance.

6. Refund Policy

APC payments are generally non-refundable once the article has been published. Refund requests, if any, are considered only in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the editorial board.

7. Advertising and Sponsorship

IMAC Review does not allow advertising or sponsored content that influences editorial decisions. Any sponsorship arrangement is clearly disclosed and does not affect the peer review process.

8. Editorial Independence

All editorial decisions are based solely on:

  • Academic merit

  • Originality

  • Relevance to the journal’s scope

  • Compliance with ethical standards

Payment of APC does not guarantee publication.
